At Lush & Lather, we believe that what you put on your skin should be just as clean and natural as what you put in your body. That’s why every bar of our handmade soap is colored using only natural ingredients—no synthetic dyes, ever.
🌿 Nature Has Its Own Palette
From the earthy tones of French green clay to the rich gold of turmeric or the deep black of activated charcoal, nature provides beautiful, skin-loving colorants that do more than just look good—they offer real benefits. For example, spirulina gives a lovely green hue and delivers antioxidants, while rose clay gives a soft pink tone and gently detoxifies.
🚫 Why We Say No to Synthetic Dyes
Artificial dyes (often listed as FD&C or D&C colors) are petroleum-based and can be irritating to sensitive skin. Some have even been linked to allergic reactions or long-term health concerns. That’s a risk we’re not willing to take—with your skin or our products.
💧 Gentle on Skin, Easy on the Planet
Natural colorants are biodegradable and eco-friendly, unlike synthetic dyes that can linger in waterways and harm aquatic life. When you choose our soap, you’re not just caring for your skin—you’re also caring for the environment.
